Be inspired by the seclusion
Whether you are seeking a secluded retreat for an intimate family gathering, a refined group escape, or an unforgettable celebration, be it a wedding, anniversary, or corporate occasion, Raemoir House offers an atmosphere of quiet grandeur and timeless elegance.
Set at the end of a tree-lined drive within 15 acres of sweeping private parkland and ancient woodland, Raemoir provides a rare sense of seclusion and serenity. Yet it is the house itself that defines the experience: a beautifully preserved Georgian mansion where every room carries its own character, layered with history, warmth and understated luxury.
The principal reception rooms are located on the ground floor, each opening onto captivating views across the grounds and to the countryside beyond. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the interiors with natural light, inviting guests to linger in deep armchairs and watch the landscape shift with the seasons.
Designed with both intimacy and scale in mind, the interconnected layout allows the house to transform effortlessly. Doors may be opened to create flowing, expansive spaces for celebration and connection, or closed to offer more private, atmospheric rooms for quieter moments of retreat.
The House
Built in the Georgian and Victorian eras, and with many original features remaining, the house has been further enhanced by tasteful yet quirky renovations over the years.
Within the main house you will find 12 individually decorated en-suite bedrooms which can sleep 24 guests with 4 more en-suite double rooms available in the Ha' Hoose, the adjacent annexe and original house at Raemoir.
All of the public rooms are situated on the ground floor of the main house and each benefitting from wonderful views over the secluded grounds and surrounding countryside adding to the overall cosy and relaxed atmosphere Raemoir is known for.
The Ha'Hoose
Thought to be one of the few wind and waterproof, fully functioning hall houses in Scotland, the historic Ha’ Hoose at Raemoir dates back to 1690. It originally served as Raemoir’s “big house” before the construction of the main residence, offering a rare and authentic connection to the estate’s earlier days.
The house features four spacious double bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities, contributing to our total resident guest capacity of 32.
The Panelled Lounge
The Panelled Lounge offers a haven of quiet indulgence, an inviting space designed for moments of true relaxation. Imagine settling into a sumptuous armchair, dram in hand, beside a roaring fire, enveloped in warmth and comfort.
Whether you seek a peaceful corner to lose yourself in a book, play a game, or a more intimate setting for a quiet conversation whilst gazing out over the grounds, the rich Scots pine panelling and indulgently comfortable sofas create an atmosphere of understated elegance and calm.
The Big Fish Bar
The Big Fish Bar offers a quirky, inviting and perfectly proportioned setting at the heart of your gathering, where atmosphere and character come effortlessly together.
We take great pride in our carefully curated selection of Scottish malts, artisan gins and local beers, alongside a full complement of premium spirits and favourites. Presiding over the space is the remarkable Tarpon, caught in the Boca Grande in 1907, from which the bar takes its name, an extraordinary centrepiece sure to spark conversation.
Styled in our signature eclectic elegance, the bar features distinctive design touches, including an original bed headboard from the house’s earliest days, lending a sense of heritage and intrigue.
From here, your celebration can flow seamlessly, out onto the lawn and the privacy of the surrounding grounds, or through the double doors into the adjoining Panelled Lounge or Garden Room, creating a wonderfully fluid and sociable experience.
The Oval Room
The Oval Room is a truly distinctive space, defined by its elegant curved walls and doors, a striking bronze chandelier, and beautifully preserved vintage flocked wallpaper.
Together, these elements create an atmosphere that feels suspended in time. Of all the rooms, this one most vividly captures the sensation of stepping back into another era, whether you’re enjoying an intimate private dinner or letting loose on the dance floor. Towering windows flood the space with light, framing the surrounding views while also providing the perfect backdrop for unforgettable photographs.
