| Tripadvisor.com This place has been taken over since our last visit but it was good to see the reasons we liked it in the first place haven't changed. The rooms are individual and cosy. There's no boutique furniture here, just simple, solid antique pieces, with a few scuff marks in the carpets and old fabrics. But that is all part of the charm. However old the fixtures and fittings they give the place a warm, lived in feel. It's like having a rich old uncle to stay with at his country pile. Staff were always around, friendly and attentive. The food, which this place has excelled at in the past, remains excellent and breakfast was very good. Were not disappointed and will be staying again. |
