Some recent guest comments:

May 2009 - www.laterooms.com, Fantastic hotel in a great setting. Food is top quality.

April 2009 - www.laterooms.com, Have stayed here several times and the experience has been excellent every time. Have dined here more often and the food and service have always been excellent. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful rural location, particularly if they do not have the time to travel further away from the city.

27th May 2009 - Tripadvisor.com, This place has been taken over since our last visit but it was good to see the reasons we liked it in the first place haven't changed.
The rooms are individual and cosy. There's no boutique furniture here, just simple, solid antique pieces, with a few scuff marks in the carpets and old fabrics. But that is all part of the charm. However old the fixtures and fittings they give the place a warm, lived in feel. It's like having a rich old uncle to stay with at his country pile.
The hotel was fairly quiet but staff were always around, friendly and attentive. The food, which this place has excelled at in the past, remains excellent and breakfast was very good.
Were not disappointed and will be staying again.

We always appreciate feedback and are especially pleased when guests take the trouble to write kind and supportive words, we make a point of sharing them around all the staff and those at our other hotels. They are always very motivating and gratefully received.

Raemoir holds top level conference

Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling attended a conference at Raemoir House Hotel. 28th May 2008

It is an every day occurrence for the Raemoir to host prestigious business meetings but yesterday's brought a few more challenges than usual.  Police, security officers, government advisors and the worlds press all arrived at the hotel ahead of Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling, to report on a meeting they were attending of senior Oil and Gas executives.

The dining room became a meeting room, and the Georgian room a dining room, the private sitting room an administration office for anyone and everyone whilst the Ball room held a press conference.  It was exciting and  professionally executed from start to finish. It just goes to show what Raemoir can do.

Phil and Aly on their 20th Anniversary Tour, played a stunning concert on a beautiful evening at Raemoir, 4th August 2007.

The second Raemoir concert of the year saw 600 visitors pack the lawn in front of the hotel for the return of Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham.  Hilarious tales and fabulous music held the audience's attention for well over two hours.  The friendly upbeat atmosphere was tangible as the hotel welcomed guests with their picnics from as far a field as Boston, USA and South Africa.

The Raemoir concerts are a matter of great pride to the hotel; staff make no distinction between a concert goer outside, with their own picnic and refreshments to those staying in the finest room in the house,  everyone is warmly welcomed and given plenty of assistance.  The Banchory Scouts were once again greatly appreciated as they ferried picnics from the drop off area to the lawn using trolleys from the Raemoir Garden Centre.  Donations and a raffle in the interval for a luxury night for two at Castleton House Hotel, the sister hotel to Raemoir helped them raise over £450.

David Webster, owner of Raemoir said 'Our sincere thanks go to both the Banchory Scouts and the Garden Centre, the level of service they help us deliver is widely recognised as unique in the ever increasing market place of outdoor concerts.  It just goes to show the strength of the Banchory community.  We were delighted to see everything go so successfully, a great many people had an excellent evening here.'

Another success for Raemoir as the sun shines on the second Grand Summer Prom - 9th June 2007

Jobs at Raemoir

We are investing in every aspect of the hotel and none is more important to us than in the very people who make it all work.

Current vacancies are mainly in the front of house and restaurant areas

No prior experience is necessary as all training will be given, good manners and communication skills are essential.

This is a varied and challenging role, the hours are not suitable for everyone so please consider that hotels operate on a 7 day week with 2 days off fitted in where the rota allows. Evenings and early mornings are all part of job and at all times good cheer is essential.

Occasionally the housekeeping department requires assistance and it is expected of those in front of house positions to lend a hand.

Everyone helps eveyone else here at Raemoir.

If you are interested then please click here and write a short introduction about yourself or telephone 01330 824884 and ask for General Manager James Anderson
